At 7 years old, you’d think Shorty would be settling into a life of leisurely naps and quiet afternoons. Nope! This guy plays like he’s still a puppy, zooming around with his beloved squeaky ball like it’s his life’s purpose. Seriously, if squeaky ball chasing were an Olympic sport, he’d have all the gold medals.
Shorty is a 28lb, 7-year-old Shih Tzu with lots of life left to live! When he’s out on a walk, he struts with confidence—like he’s got places to be and deals to close. But the moment he spots a human or another dog, his whole face lights up like he just found out he’s getting extra treats.
When Shorty isn’t strutting his stuff, his lounging skills are just as impressive. When he lays down, his back legs shoot out in opposite directions like he’s trying to do doggy yoga, while his front legs stretch forward in pure relaxation mode. It’s a sight to behold. He’s also a well-mannered gentleman—he knows that when the humans are cooking, the kitchen is off-limits (even if it smells really good in there). Shorty is not a huge fan of stairs and may require some gentle convincing to go up or down. With Shorty's happy-go-lucky personality, boundless energy, and love for everyone he meets, this guy is ready to bring joy, laughter, and an endless supply of squeaky ball entertainment to his new home!
All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the location as it is a privately run boarding, training, and grooming facility. Meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters.
