My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 2 years
Weight: 28kg

A bit about Pinky:
- Unknown history with kids; all interactions should be supervised
- Unknown history with cats and other small animals; introductions should be done slowly over a period of time and all interactions supervised
- Unknown history with other dogs; potential for select dog in home pending successful introduction

Meet Pinky, the happy go lucky lady looking for her second chance! Found as a stray, not much is known about her prior to her arrival, but since being here she has shown an affinity for treats and can be quite the affectionate pup (bum scritches are reportedly a favourite!). Pinky can be nervous around new people and would do best in a home that can help her warm up to those around her with time. Does this sound like the right friend for you? Come meet Pinky today!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
