My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hammy—like the wonderful snack you forgot in your fridge. But trust me, I’m way more lovable than leftover lunch meat. I’m a proud boy poodle-schnauzer mix, which basically means I’m a fluffy bundle of charm (once my hair’s grown out) with just the right amount
of scruff to keep things interesting. I'm around 20 pounds and my estimated birthdate is February 2021.

I’m looking for my forever home, and I promise to bring oodles (get it? Poodle humor!) of joy to your life. I’m the kind of dog who can turn any boring Tuesday into an adventure. Need a workout buddy? I’ve got energy for days and I love to play with tennis balls and enjoy the yard! Want to binge-watch your favorite show? I’ll snuggle so hard you’ll forget what episode you’re on. I do need another dog in my forever home to keep me company.

I’m still working on my potty-training skills but I promise to love you unconditionally and make every single day better just by being my goofy, lovable self.

Adoption fee is: $550.00

Hammy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and Heartworm negative.

ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.

Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
