Here's what the humans have to say about me:
** If you are interested in adopting Roxie, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ **
Rose’s world has been turned upside down, but you’d never know it from her happy-go-lucky spirit! Despite all the recent changes in her life, this sweet girl still wags her tail, soaks up affection, and greets each day with hope and love.
Rose's owner was kicked out of their home and they left Rose behind. She was picked up by animal control and brought to a small shelter in New Mexico. But now, she’s on her way to Colorado to find a family that will NEVER leave her behind again!
Rose is a gorgeous Dachshund. She is 2 years old and a chunky 24 lbs. She is overweight, and should shed a few lbs to be at her healthy weight. Being at a healthy weight is especially important for the Dachshund breed, which is why Rose is currently on a diet.
Rose is a sweetheart who enjoys the company of other dogs and is gentle with people. She has a great mix of cozy and playful energy—sometimes she’s content to lounge, and other times she’ll have little bursts of playfulness.
With a heart full of love and a nose for adventure, Rose is ready to start the next chapter of her life with a forever family who will cherish her as much as she deserves!
Roxie is up to date on her vaccinations and is spayed.
Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial.
Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year.
Applications are currently being accepted for our wonderful pup. If interested in this gorgeous, very cuddly/sweet and loving best friend, please fill out an application completely at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit.
**PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
