My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you love an affectionate kitty, you must meet the beautiful Butter Puffs! This sweet and loving girl is obsessed with people and absolutely adores pets, kisses, and spending time with humans. She has literally never met someone she doesn't like and would be such a great addition to a family to shower her with love. Butter Puffs originally came into foster care from Chicago Animal Care and Control. She was quickly transferred into foster care, where she has been a joy to care for. Butter Puffs is a younger kitty and likes to play with toys including puff balls and wands. When she wants your attention, she will also make sure you know it by meowing gently to you. Her silliest quirk is that she loves to stick her tongue out!

Butter Puffs has not spent time with dogs or children in foster care. However, she is very gentle and she would likely be successful in a home with cat savvy kiddos to snuggle up to. We are working on introducing her to our resident cats and she is still figuring out how to befriend them, so she may be ok with another friendly cat pal. Butter Puffs would also be fine as a solo kitty in a home with someone who can shower her in love!

If you're a first time cat owner, this girl would be a great introduction to kitties, or she would make a loving companion to an experienced kitty person as well! We know she will bring so much fun and joy to whatever family is lucky enough to take her home. Please apply today!

Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent. We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level. This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family.

Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue. Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten.

Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day. Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet. We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier. If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day. If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home. We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies.

Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age. We are able to PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.
