Elaine is a Foxhound. She is Tri Colored. Elaine is 2 Years Old. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She weighs around 45 lbs.
Elaine is a happy, playful girl! Elaine was first rescued by a rural high kill pound when they saw her owner throw her from a moving pick up truck, speeding off leaving her there. Elaine has never once let the horrible act her former owners interfere with how she interacts with all new people. Elaine lights up when anyone comes to talk to her, she's just so very excited that someone wants to pay attention to her. Elaine does have that typical hound howl/bark and when she's outside playing with you if she see's someone or hears someone near her yard she will let you know. Also Elaine's favorite thing in the whole world is simply; Food! She loves all types of food and is never one to waste even one piece of kibble. When she's not looking for a tasty treat from you she loves just hanging out and playing with other dogs. She loves to lick and nibble on her doggie pal's ears to get them to play with her. Elaine loves anyone willing to play with her and talk to her. For anyone who loves hounds, especially Foxhounds Elaine is the perfect girl for you!
Elaine would do well in a semi-active to active household. She loves everyone she meets, including adults, kids and other dogs. Elaine would love to have a fenced in yard, since her favorite thing outside is to run! At her foster home there is a fenced separating their yard from the neighbors, and Elaine loves to run back and forth along the fenced along with the neighbors two dogs. Elaine would love to become apart of a family who loves the outdoors. Elaine loves anything about going outside, she loves to run, hike, and catch sticks. She would probably do well with another semi-active/active dog in her household, someone she could run and play with but also cuddle with at night. Elaine mostly sticks to dog beds so if your not wanting her on the furniture it wouldn't be a problem. Elaine loves to go for car rides because usually that means she's going someone to walk for a few miles. Elaine really is a very sweet girl who just needs a family who will play with her.
Elaine is not aggressive with other dogs, she has been with small, large, young and old dogs.
At the rescue we require dogs to be kept indoors.
There is a $100 Adoption Fee for all dogs. Which includes the Spay/Neuter, Parvo/Distemper Combo Shot, Rabies Shot, Worming, Heartworm Tested Negative if over 6 months and Flea/Tick Prevention.
