My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact Mamie Hall (mamie.hall@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.sweet girl seeking fresh start and love!

TINA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:  Tina        Best Guess for Breed:  Jack Russell terrier and Chihuahua mix

Best Guess for Age: 1 Year Old       SEX: Female

Approximate Weight:  15 Pounds

Gets Along With:   Tina does well with other dogs! Because she is shy, Tina also needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog to teach her the world isn't so scary. We haven't seen her with cats, but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!

Currently Living at: DC area; Tina needs a forever home!

Special adoption considerations Because Tina is shy, she needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog. We would be cautious placing Tina in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare shy dogs with their level of energy or noise.  Children would need to be supervised closely to not leave doors open and should never walk the dog without an adult holding the leash.  We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant.

Tina is Looking For:   Her forever home! This sweet girl is eager to have her own humans for long sniffy walks, romps, and all the adventures they can dream up! And she wants to explore all the toys to see what she likes best. And cuddles and snuggles!

Tina's got so many adoring gazes and little tail wags, so much loyalty and love in her for her new humans.  What do you say? Does she get to see the world with you? Do you get all the love she has to offer?

What My Foster Says About Me:  Tina is a sweet girl who loves to cuddle her person! She is also very playful and loves to romp. She can be afraid when left alone or around new people and dogs, so she needs someone with time and patience to help her come out of her shell.

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Go meet their pets

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
