My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Levi is a 14 week old Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix that came to us from a shelter in southern Indiana. At just 14 weeks, Levi is 30lbs. We expect him to get over 100lbs full grown. Both Great Pyrenees and Anatolian shepherds are large, strong dogs that will require exercise and grooming. Levi is doggy door trained and working on leash walking. It seems that he didn't have much human interaction in his first few months but he is coming around well. He has been around other dogs and kids of all ages. He has only ever seen cats and he didn't show much interest. Levi is ready for his forever family!

All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm tested negative ( puppies age 7 months and older) and microchipped. A puppy's adoption fee is $350. There is a $5 fee for credit/debit cards.

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
