**Introducing Oakie!**

Meet Oakie, a delightful 8-month-old neutered male pup who is sure to steal your heart. With his gentle demeanor, Oakie is not only affectionate but also gets along splendidly with both dogs and cats. This charming young lad has a calm and kind spirit that is quite remarkable for his age.

One of Oakie's favorite pastimes is snuggling up for warm hugs, and he absolutely adores having his belly rubbed. His lovable personality shines through in every interaction. Oakie is also potty trained and has a solid grasp of basic commands, demonstrating his intelligence and eagerness to learn.

If you're searching for a loving and devoted companion who’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and boundless affection into your life, Oakie is the perfect match for you!

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home.

We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application.

We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information.

We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.

Submit Application

Apply online at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply

Approve Application

We perform vet and landlord checks if necessary and will contact you if your application is approved.

3.
Meet the Pet

If approved, a volunteer will bring the dog to your home for a meet & greet and home check.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If the adoption representative and you agree the dog is a good fit for your family, you will complete the adoption contract and pay the fee.

As a network of foster homes, we do not have a "shelter location". We do hold meet and greet events each month at various locations where you can meet our precious pitties. Otherwise, meet and greets are only available with an approved application and home visit.
