Meet Buddy! This energetic and playful boy is around 1 year old, born on November 3rd, 2023. He’s full of love and fun, but he does need a little time to warm up to new people, so slow introductions are best. Buddy gets along with dogs and certain cats, as long as they’re not mean to him first – he’s pretty easygoing once he feels comfortable. Buddy is all about playtime! He loves to play fetch and will happily run around with any toy you give him. However, if you put him in a playpen or crate, be prepared for a Houdini moment – Buddy’s a smart little escape artist and will try to get out. He already knows some cues, like "sit" and "fetch," so he’s eager to learn more! One thing to keep in mind is that Buddy is a bit of a door bolter. When opening any doors to the outside, make sure he’s on a leash or in a secure area to avoid him dashing out. On walks, he can be a little protective of his owner, but it’s all out of love.
As for treats, Buddy’s a bit picky. He’s a fan of Pupperoni treats and Ceasars chicken – so those are his go-to snacks. Buddy is ready to bring endless energy and joy to his forever home! For more information on how to adopt, please call the shelter to see if this pet is still available for adoption. Then come to the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 10:30-6 Tuesday – Friday and 10:30 – 4 on Saturday (closed 1-2 for lunch and the last Friday of every month).
