My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Koda (A137813) is a 5-year-old AK Husky mix who weighed 77.6 pounds on intake!

03/18/25 This handsome, shy guy is Koda! Koda was surrendered to the shelter because he was not meshing well with the other animals in the home. Koda was said to have a high prey drive and would chase after the cat in the home. He was also noted to get grumpy towards the other dog in the home, which led to them having a disagreement. His prior owner did note that Koda did well with other dogs outside the home setting. He is looking for a home where he can be the only pet. Koda also has no experience around children but was said to be friendly with adults! Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with new people and animals to set him up for success! Koda did initially have some stranger danger and might do best in a home without small children or at least children who can respect boundaries. In his last home, he was said to be kennel-trained and housebroken! We encourage his next owner to bring him to a basic obedience to continue working on his manners. If you are interested in meeting Koda, please let us know!
