My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Craving something sweet? Meet Cookie! How would you like to cap off a long, hard day with an affectionate, lovable best friend, who will come to you for cuddles and soothe away your cares? This gorgeous two-year-old Tortie girl is every bit as sweet as her name. Cookie quickly adapts to new environments, snuggling with her foster mom within a day or two of arriving at her home. She will actively seek opportunities to sit on your lap or rest her head on your shoulder, erupting in her magnificent, blissful purr. Cookie also has an endearing playful side and loves chasing and leaping after her wand toys. When she's not running around looking for adventures, you'll find her enjoying the simple pleasures in life: comfy blankets, cozy chairs, and sunbathing by the window. She's also a bit of a water enthusiast and may surprise you by playing with it! But don’t be mistaken- Cookie is not just a pretty face! Her foster mom notes that she is quite intelligent and can often sense and respond to her tone of voice. She’s even figured out how to open doors with handles! Cookie currently lives with her sister Brownie in her foster home, but we are unsure about how she is with other cats or dogs. She is good with older children.

Cookie was surrendered to us through no fault of her own when her family circumstances changed. She loves human company and would love to be adopted by someone home often, to give her daily play sessions and loads of cuddles.

If you’re looking for a cuddly, loving, and active companion, Cookie might be the perfect addition to your family. Fill out an application to meet her and prepare to fall in love!

More about this rescue

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.

We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.

We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
