Meet Buck, the cutest tiny chihuahua boy!

If you first thought he was a baby deer, you wouldn't be far off. At just 7 lbs, this sweet gentleman has the most delicate legs and big, soulful eyes. Despite everything he's been through, he is still curious about the world around him. He loves to watch the hustle and bustle from his favorite cozy spot in his foster home, finally safe and loved. He's still a little wary of being picked up, but his sweet, gentle soul is shining through.

Buck is hoping his family will have a top tier snuggle buddy. And if you like to sing, he's happy to accompany you with his little yowly voice. He'll likely always need to wear belly bands, but when the weather is nice and he is able to get outside he doesn't use them as much. He walks well on the leash and is a good car companion. He's also happy tp accompany you on errands in a little carrier.

This low-key older gentleman just wants to snuggle on the couch or under the covers in bed. He loves being with his humans and hopes his new family will be home with him most of the time. He can go up a couple of steps but prefers to be carried down.

Buck is the biggest sweetheart and deserves the best happily ever after!

After application approval a meet and greet can be scheduled. If the meet goes well, the dog can go home with their new family.

We aren't first come, first served, rather our dogs are matched with the best person or family for them. We do not do same day adoptions as there are multiple steps to our adoption process.

Miri’s Haven is an all-volunteer, foster-based 501c3 senior dog rescue dedicated to the rescue, care, and adoption of senior dogs into loving, forever homes throughout the DC Metro area and surrounding areas. We are run entirely by dedicated volunteers and do not receive any public funding. Funding is derived entirely from fundraising and donations offered by individuals and local organizations who believe in our mission.
