My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

#A5676899 Meet Foxy! This sweet 5-year-old German Shepherd mix is a delicate and petite package deal, with a personality as vibrant as her name suggests - her frisky, playful energy will steal your heart! Foxy loves people and pups alike, always eager to shower her loved ones with affection, and she’s just as happy to receive it in return. Always ready to roll over - SO cutely -  she’s a huge fan of tummy rubs and cozy moments spent lounging with her people. Foxy has shown herself to be friendly and appropriate with other dogs, and from her interactions at the shelter, she’s also very curious and gentle around children. Already equipped with great leash skills, signs of potty training, and a love for treats, Foxy is ready to learn even more in her forever home. Come take home this bubbly little lady and add some joy to your life today!

  • 5 year old brown German Shepherd mix

  • 35 pound spayed female - the perfect pocket size!

  • Up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you! However, Foxy may have a little doggy cold, which the shelter has been treating - will need to be adopted on a health waiver, with adopter to follow up with own vet for further diagnostics and treatment

  • Came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 1/29/25 as an owner surrender, but we have no notes and no idea why, as Foxy is the goodest girl!

  • Delicate and petite girl that lives up to her name!

  • Frisky and playful personality, with both people and pups

  • Very affectionate and equally happy to be on the receiving end

  • Always ready to roll over on her back, loves tummy rubs and cozy quiet moments with her people

  • Friendly and appropriate with other dogs through the fence

  • Could be good with a young family - at the shelter, was very curious about a small child on the other side of the fence

  • Good leash skills, strong signs of potty training, and knows basic commands like sit

  • Treat motivated and takes them gently, which can make additional training a breeze!

More about this rescue

United Hope for Animals is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion and responsibility. We actively work toward bringing an end to the needless suffering of companion animals through community-based programs here at home and across the border.

The United States euthanizes more than one million dogs and cats each year. Through our Shelter Support Program, we work in partnership with local shelters to reduce this number by raising public awareness about shelter adoption and facilitating rescue and adoption of sheltered animals. In the process, we bring dignity and hope to the many lives that would otherwise pass anonymously through the animal control system.
