My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charles is a stunning tricolor Australian Shepherd who may be a bit shy at first, but his graceful, demure nature will win you over in no time. At around 4 years old, he’s in the prime of his life—handsome, calm, and full of quiet wisdom. With his beautiful coat of brown, white, and tan, and his soulful eyes, Charles is as handsome on the outside as he is on the inside. He carries himself with a mindful, calm demeanor, always taking in his surroundings with quiet thoughtfulness.

As an Australian Shepherd, Charles has the potential for a lot of energy once he feels comfortable and confident in his environment. While he may start off on the quieter side, once he bonds with his humans, you’ll see his playful and energetic nature emerge. Australian Shepherds are known for their intelligence, agility, and zest for life, and Charles is no exception. With time and patience, he will display his love for play, walks, and mental stimulation, making him a wonderful companion for an active household.

What Charles loves:
- Quiet moments of reflection: Charles is a thoughtful dog who enjoys taking in the world around him, often content just to observe and absorb.
- Gentle affection: He’s not one for loud excitement, but he’ll happily accept soft, gentle strokes and quiet moments with his favorite people.
- Being close to his humans: Though he’s a bit shy, Charles enjoys being near those he trusts, and he’ll seek out your company when he feels comfortable.
- Playtime and mental stimulation: Once he’s settled in, Charles loves engaging in activities that challenge his mind and body, such as walks, fetch, or puzzle toys.

What Charles is looking for in a home:
- A calm, patient family or individual who understands his shy side and can provide him with the space and time he needs to feel safe.
- Someone who can offer him an active environment where he can express his energy once he feels comfortable, with walks, playtime, and mental challenges.
- A home where he will be treated with kindness and allowed to open up at his own pace.

Charles is a true gem – a beautiful, demure soul with a heart full of love, waiting to find someone who will recognize his quiet beauty and gentle spirit. If you have the patience and understanding to help him feel at home, Charles will reward you with a lifetime of loyalty, companionship, and a perfect balance of calm moments and active adventures.

Come meet Charles today – he’s ready to find his forever home where he can be cherished and loved for the quiet, thoughtful dog he is, and the energetic companion he will become. 💖
