Luck found Lady Marmalade on St. Patrick’s day when she joined Hero Dog Rescue.

Meet Marmalade, the sweetest little ray of sunshine! This lovable 3-month-old Lab/Pit mix is pure joy, greeting everyone with full-body wiggles and an adorable scrunched-nose smile. Weighing in at 17 pounds, she’s thriving in her foster home—mastering crate and potty training, sleeping soundly through the night, and having a blast playing with her foster brother.

Marmalade is a smart, curious pup who picks up new things quickly and loves to explore. She’s also independent but enjoys companionship, making her a wonderful addition to any home. While she’d love a canine sibling to romp around with, it’s not a requirement—what she really needs is a loving family ready to provide the patience, structure, and care to help her grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate, and eager-to-learn companion, Marmalade is your girl!

Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.

Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
