My name is Shay!

We are so happy to welcome Shay to #circle2rescue!!
Shay is a lovely senior girl who has grown a tiny bit chubby in her advanced years but there is no denying that she is adorable! Shay was picked up as a stray and in very tough condition. She was dreadfully thin and had a bad injury to her eye. She gave birth to a puppy shortly afterward and a rescue took her puppy but didn't want to take Shay. Anyone who is a dog lover knows that senior dogs are the absolute best and have so much love to offer. Add that to their mature energy level and you have an amazing dog who is content and easy to accommodate. Our best guess on Shay's breed is Chihuahua and maybe Beagle. At Shay's recent vet visit she weighed 14 pounds and they estimated herto be around 8 years old. As you can see, Shay only has one eye and it seems she has limited vision in her remaining eye.
