Todd is a handsome ~7ish year-old man looking for love! Todd is a big boy who loves to play with toys and other friendly kitties. He would also be a great solo cat. He is a FANTASTIC snuggler and loves to curl up near or on you, especially if fleece blankets are involved.
He is FIV+ which means he has a weaker immune system and needs routine veterinary care to ensure his health. He has refractory stomatitis, despite all of his teeth being removed, and requires a steroid pill (crushed in his food) twice a week. He will likely need this medication for the rest of his life (but it is cheap!). He also gets an oral mouthwash supplement daily with breakfast (on his food). We would recommend staying with his current vet, as he knows his case inside and out.
He has some quirks that may be difficult for inexperienced cat owners, so he is looking for a patient, child-free home. He is quite vocal around mealtimes, is food-motivated and a bit food aggressive. While he has never scratched or bitten, he hisses and spits quite "fur"ociously if you try to take food away from him (or if another cat has food and he doesn’t). If you drop something while cooking dinner you have to move like the Flash to scoop it up before he gobbles it up and we highly recommend eating meals in separate spaces, so he doesn't try to steal off your plate.
For the right home, he will be the best kitty you could ever ask for (as long as you don’t mind eating meals separately).

We request you fill out our application and then a volunteer will get in contact with you to meet the pet you've applied for. If the met and greet goes well we will approve the application and allow the adoption fee and contract to be completed and the pet taken home.
