Meet Mercy, a 1-2 year old Terrier mix with a heart full of sweetness. Mercy’s journey hasn’t been easy, but it has always been filled with love. She was originally part of a group living in a homeless camp, where, despite their difficult circumstances, she was cherished by her family. When her family found a shelter that wasn’t able to take her, they made the heart-wrenching decision to rehome her.

For over a year, Mercy lived in a home with other dogs, but unfortunately, she was often picked on. Despite the love she received there, the situation wasn’t ideal for her, and she’s now looking for a peaceful and understanding forever home where she can thrive. Mercy is a gentle soul who gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children, and would do best in a calm environment with someone who can give her the patience she deserves.

Due to her early lack of socialization, Mercy can be a little nervous and anxious at times, but she’s incredibly sweet and responds well to a gentle, kind approach. With time and love, she’s warmed up to shelter staff and volunteers, and she will make an affectionate companion in the right home. Mercy is house trained, walks well on a leash, and does okay in cars.
