This 3-year-old, 12-pound handsome boy may have had a rough start, but he's ready to find the loving home he truly deserves! Prince Charming entered the shelter as a stray, and due to some heavy matting, he had to get a shave. Now, he’s feeling much better and showing his sweet personality more every day.

Prince Charming is a gentle, curious soul who is still learning to trust. He may have spent too long on the streets, but now he’s all about exploring his new surroundings at his own pace. He’s not a hider – he’s cautious but loves to check in with you, offering adorable head butts and soaking up all the love and attention you can give him.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

Submit Application

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
