My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lottie is a lutino female cockatiel who is diabetic and will need meds for life. Her age is unknown. Lottie eats cockatiel seed mix, plus pellets and leafy greens. Millet is okay as a treat.

More about this rescue

Burge Bird Rescue is attached to Burge Bird Services, a 100% avian veterinary hospital in the south Kansas City Missouri area. We are a no-kill nonprofit shelter for all kinds of birds from finches to macaws, from pigeons to ducks. Many of our birds have special needs, and no bird is ever turned away due to medical issues. In 2013 we helped over 300 birds in need!
