My name is Aeko!

Aeko was a stray-turned-foster, joining our home at just 4-5 months old. Now, at 1 year and 9 months, he has grown into a complex cat with both curiosity and deep-seated struggles. At first, he was intrigued by our dog, but over time, his unpredictable aggression emerged—random scents and sounds could set him off into manic episodes. Despite consistent training, his attacks on our dog remain a safety hazard.

To manage his behavior, Aeko needs at least three 30-minute training sessions daily. These include positive reinforcement with treats for calm behavior, redirection techniques to shift his focus before aggression escalates, and controlled desensitization to triggers. His challenges suggest possible neurological issues, requiring patience and structure.

Though not affectionate, Aeko shows a strong interest in having a cat sibling. With the right environment, dedicated training, and understanding, he may still find balance and a home that truly fits his needs.
