My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Roo! Meet our sweet and shy girl, a beautiful black cat who came to us with her sister from a difficult situation. She was matted and had to be shaved to help her feel better, and she’s still adjusting to shelter life and new people. Though she’s a little reserved right now, she’s a gentle soul who will thrive in the right home. This girl would do best in a quiet environment where she can take her time to feel comfortable. A home with no dogs and children under the age of 10 would be ideal for her. While she may need some time to adjust, especially in a new setting, we know that with patience and love, she’ll become a wonderful and affectionate companion. She and her sister are both ready to start fresh and would make lovely pets for someone who’s willing to give them the time and space they need to settle in. If you’re looking for a calm, sweet cat to share your home with, come meet this gentle girl and her bonded sister – they just need a little extra time to show you their true, loving selves! To meet Roo, complete an online application at www.washingtonpashelter.org or visit during walk through hours on Tuesday 1pm - 7pm and Wednesday through Saturday 1pm - 4pm.
