My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Holly is a gorgeous puppy with a heart of gold! This 6 month old English Shepherd/Australian Cattle dog mix is full of love to give!

The adopter of one of her siblings had a DNA match done and these are the results:

44.4% English Shepherd
41.6% Australian Cattle Dog
7.9% Border Collie
6.1% German Shepherd

What a great mix!

Holly was brought in as a puppy who was rescued from a puppy mill. She's grateful for the second chance at a loving home. Holly loves to play with her siblings and does well with new dogs and people with some gentle coaxing.

Despite her initial nervousness, Holly is friendly and loves to shower her affection with kisses. She's an intelligent dog who is already crate-trained and housebroken!

She'll need a forever home that is active, keeps her on a monthly prevention medication, and has a loving atmosphere where she can grow and thrive.

If you're interested in adopting Holly, please contact DogworksOhio through the link provided for more information. Holly is excited to meet you!

Holly is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention and microchipped.

Her adoption fee is $400.

Please note: applicants must live within 60 minutes of Toledo, Ohio.

Additional adoption info

Dogworks strives to place dogs into permanent homes based on the dogs' personalities and yours. To adopt a dog, we require a completed application, approved vetting, signed adoption contract, and home visit.

Adoption applications are available on our website (www.dogworksohio.com) and at all Meet & Greets. Once your application has been submitted, we will contact your references and consider suitability. You will be contacted by phone or email, typically within 4 business days, to discuss arrangements for adoption contract and home visit.

Adoption fees are variable (typically $125-$250) and are listed with the description of each dog. Adoption fee will be refunded if you decide that the dog is not compatible with your family within 2 weeks.

Adopted dogs must be returned to Dogworks in the event that they can no longer remain a member of your household for any reason.

All dogs have been updated on vaccines and tested for heartworm prior to adoption. Adult dogs and puppies older than 14 weeks are spayed/neutered. Adopters of younger puppies are required to sign an agreement to complete spay/neuter by 6 months of age. We will assist with spay/neuter costs. Adopters will receive a copy of medical records.

More about this rescue

Dogworks is an all-volunteer, nonprofit group based in Toledo, OH, whose purpose is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home abandoned, neglected, and unwanted dogs. Our focus has been on sporting dogs, both purebreds and mixed breeds. Most dogs are rescued from euthanizing shelters, although some come to us from relinquishing owners or other means. All dogs are fostered in volunteer homes until adoption. We do not have a shelter or kennel facility.
