Meet Rose: A Brave Soul Longing for a Second Chance
Three years ago, Rose's journey began with hope. A sweet puppy rescued from the Pyeongtaek Shelter, she and her brother Baekdu were adopted into what seemed to be a loving home. But life can be unbearably unfair. Three years later, they were both returned to the shelter—discarded after a breakup, as though their loyalty and love meant nothing.
For adult Jindos like Rose, shelters in Korea are perilous. They are often the first in line for euthanasia, with little time to find a second chance. When we met Rose and Baekdu, their neglect was heartbreaking. Rose’s nails were painfully curled, and she had never been spayed. Her fear of the smallest gestures spoke volumes—she had endured abuse, leaving her wary and uncertain of human kindness.
Despite our limited resources, we couldn’t abandon them. We wanted nothing more than to show Rose and Baekdu that life could be better, that humans could be kind. Baekdu was lucky to find a family quickly, but for Rose, the road has been longer. Years of trauma have left her with a fear of isolation and a need for patience and understanding.
Yet, even in her fear, Rose’s light shines through. She is affectionate and sweet, yearning for connection with those who show her love. She has made incredible progress thanks to the care of dedicated trainers and volunteers, and we believe she’s ready to find her forever home.
Rose’s perfect family would have experience with large dogs, a structured and consistent lifestyle, and, most importantly, a kind yet firm approach. She thrives with someone who can guide her with confidence and show her that she will never be abandoned again.
If you are searching for a companion who will love you unconditionally and a soul you can help heal, Rose is waiting for you. Give her the chance to experience the love and stability she has always deserved. Rose’s journey has been long and painful, but with your love, her story can finally have the happy ending she’s been dreaming of.

All our dogs fly from Korea to the US when their adoptions are finalized. Therefore, we cannot provide the "meet and greet." Multiple video clips will be provided, and we will help you walk through the steps to reassure the adopted dog and the adopter are the best match for each other. Some dogs are available for meet and greet if the dogs are fostered in the US.
