Born in March, 2024, Louie is a handsome tiger boy. This guy had just about given up when he was found lying underneath a rose bush in the worst of rain storms. That may have been the end for Louie if not for the homeowner taking in the garbage cans and noticing the motionless pile. He was an easy rescue with some tuna doing the trick. Louie came in soaking wet, with a mouth full of ulcers and infected pads on his feet. His bobtail is short but does not appear to be from any injury, most likely a birth defect. His recovery was amazing and he seemed so grateful for being loved. He craves attention and will cry for a bit when you leave the room. Louie would do great in a family environment.
Louie is vaccinated, altered, FeLV/FIV tested negative and microchipped. Save The Animals Rescue Team, (S.T.A.R.T.) is a non-profit humane organization, founded by Annette Lamberti, that rescues stray, abandoned, injured, and abused kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs. The animals rescued are examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and placed in one of our volunteer foster homes. Since S.T.A.R.T. does not have a shelter facility, these animals remain in our foster care until they are adopted. So many of these unfortunate animals are victims of pet overpopulation, therefore, this life-saving work is critical!!
It is our mission to prevent cruelty, promote spay/neuter, and to encourage awareness through education, while also teaching respect for all animals and the environment they live in. S.T.A.R.T. is a 501 (c)(3) private non-profit organization relying on and supported by tax-deductible donations, grants and group fund raising.
