My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Morty is a funny little guy with a lot of love to give! He loves to go on walks and is very easy to get out of the kennel. Morty does great on the leash and is super fun to walk around. He likes to stare lovingly at his handler and walks as close as he can to you! In the office he is a ball of love! He wants to say hi to everyone and cuddle! Morty is a great cuddle buddy and will try and get as close as possible to your lap! He has zero concept of personal space but is very gentle about it!! Morty has learned that stuffies are awesome! He wasn’t too enthused by balls or treats but the squeaky toy was awesome! Morty was very gentle when playing and knows how to share! All he wants is to be around people. He tries his best to be a gentleman! I think Morty would do good in a house with kids, he knows how to share and is extremely gentle with his toys. Please give this amazing boy a chance! He deserves it. Morty is available for adoption, MORTY is 1 YEAR AND 9 MONTHS OLD BLACK AND TAN, NEUTERED MALE, TERRIER MIX, 44 POUNDS Morty does great with easy going male and female dogs. He is able to read body language well and respect the other dog’s space. Morty is also good with small dogs! Very well-rounded boy! To foster or adopt Morty, you can stop by the shelter during normal business hours, or email sasfoster@stocktonca.gov City of Stockton Animal Services Morty is such a love bug! He is very easy to get out of the kennel and loves to go on walks! He is very people motivated and just wants to be close to you. He isn’t very interested in treats or balls, but he is a big fan of squeaky toys! Morty is very gentle with his toys and knows how to share! Morty is a cuddle bug and wants to be in your lap or touching you at all times! He is very stressed here and needs to get out ASAP! This sweet boy has so much potential! Please give Morty a chance!
