Nala is a 2 year old lilac tortie who enjoys people, chin rubs and wand toys! This inquisitive, low-key girl is ready for her second chance and is blossoming into a happy and grateful house kitty. She enjoys her pets but slow and gentle is the key for Nala. She has her paws crossed that a patient and loving adopter is reading this right now!
Nala has come a long way since being rescued with her kittens, and she is ready for her next adventure in life. She is looking for a calm, relaxed home with a little extra time and space to settle in. Once she is comfortable she is a wonderful, gentle companion. Recently, she has started giving meows to her foster mom for pets and attention. We know with the right person she will show her playful and goofy side. Nala is FIV+ with a sparkling way about her. She can't wait to meet you, and hopes it will be soon!

Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is a cat-specific virus that cannot be passed onto dogs or humans. FIV is spread through deep bite wounds, typically seen on outdoor male cats who have not been neutered. It's rarely spread through grooming, sharing bowls, or litter boxes. FIV affects a cat's immune system, but most cats live long lives when they live indoors, receive routine veterinary care, have a stress-free home, and a good diet. About Ten Lives:
Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat.
Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience!
All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.

All potential adopters must fill out the Ten Lives adoption application, show proof of either home ownership or landlords approval, and current veterinary records for any resident animals. All approved adopters will be required to sign the Ten Lives adoption agreement.
