My name is Lucas!

Meet Lucas, an adorable pittie/shepherd/husky mix with a curious mind and a heart full of love! Born on January 21, 2025, Lucas came to Mutts N Such Rescue as part of a litter of eight puppies after his owner tragically suffered brain damage in a car accident, leaving her unable to care for her beloved dog and newborn pups. Now safe and thriving in a foster home in Colorado, Lucas is growing into a smart, playful, and affectionate boy who is ready to find his forever family.

Lucas is a naturally curious pup who loves to explore the world around him. Whether he’s checking out new toys, investigating every corner of the yard, or following his siblings on little adventures, Lucas is always eager to see what’s next. His inquisitive nature makes him a fun and engaging companion, and he would love a family that enjoys including him in daily activities and outdoor adventures. But after a day of exploring, Lucas is quick to settle in for snuggles. He has a soft side and loves to curl up next to his people, soaking up all the cuddles and love he can get.

Lucas is looking for a family that will nurture both his playful, curious side and his love for snuggling. He would thrive in a home where he can continue to learn and grow through positive training and be included in all the fun. All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas or Colorado. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).

Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days.
