Dog's Name: Huey (HUE0325DICMN)
Estimated Breed: Lab MIX
Approximate Age: 1 year
Approximate Weight: 80 lbs
Currently Living at: Foster
Adoption Fee: $400
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Handsome Huey is a young and friendly Lab mix and a very good boy in search of a loving forever home. Sadly, he and his sister, Louise, were surrendered because their family had financial issues.
Huey's foster says he walks great on a leash and will let you know when he needs to go out. He's pretty "unflappable" with other dogs in the house - he won't stop bringing his foster sister toys to play with. Submit an application today and get ready to meet your new best buddy!
K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training and a refresher in house training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.org
