Donatello: Is a very sweet and affectionate dog who loves his humans. He`ll be very excited to go for a walk with you! But is also learning to manage that excitement through positive reinforcement before leaving the kennel. He`s very motivated by food and eager to learn new tricks. He knows “sit” and “come”. Donatello loves walking near you and often looks at you with cute puppy eyes. He`s very curious and loves to sniff around. He enjoys playing with his friends, and although he runs around a bit, he prefers to chill and wait for other dogs to approach him.

He`d love someone to take him for walks regularly, continue teaching him commands, and provide him with plenty of mental stimulation. He`s very intelligent and ready to learn whatever you want to teach him next.

Please review our adoptable animals before making an appointment to meet one of our dogs. The shelters do their best to have a posting of photos of dogs in foster and dogs temporarily away from the shelter.

You may visit our shelter at 5473 Overpass Road, Goleta, CA Monday - Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m with adoption hours from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Our shelters are closed for lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Our volunteer adoption counselors or staff will be happy to show you any available dog for your consideration.

We also welcome out of town or out of state adoptions.

A dog adoption from the Santa Barbara Animal Shelter is $110 and includes a spay/neuter certificate, current vaccinations, rabies, health records, transition food, loaner items, goody bag, and a coupon for 4 free dog behavior training sessions which is funded by donations to K-9 PALS for the promotion of life-long homes for dogs. Dog license fees for your city or county are additional.
