Meet Cutie! She is a smart and friendly pup who loves to play and romp around! This young lady is an athletic 40 pounds of energy and loves to run, play tug-of-war, and learn new tricks. She's a bright girl who is crate-trained, knows a variety of tricks, and is always food-motivated. Cutie is looking for a home with a fenced yard where she can run around to her heart's content and a family who can keep up with her playful spirit. She may be a bit too playful for homes with small children, so older, dog-savvy children would be best. If you're looking for a fun, friendly, and adorable companion, Cutie is the pup for you!

Dogs $175 (over 6 mos) & Puppies $200
includes vaccinations, rabies shot, microchip, heartworm testing, and spay/neuter.

Cats $60 (over 6 mos) & Kittens $75
includes vaccinations, rabies shot, spay/neuter

***HSFORBC will not transport animals out of state. If you are unable to meet an animal, prior to adoption, we will not accept your application.

Go meet their pets

We do our meet and greets by appointment since most of the animals in our care are actually in foster homes.

We are open the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month for walk-in visits, education and donations. Some pets may be on-site, but we do recommend submitting a meet and greet before coming.

The Humane Society for Boone County is a private not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) organization almost entirely volunteer operated and dedicated to the task of animal welfare, rescue and education in Boone County, Indiana. The shelter operates through a network of generous donors, volunteers and foster families.

HSforBC has no powers to act as animal control, but will work in conjunction with law enforcement as requested.

Found/stray animals are advertised and held for a minimum of 7 days. Animals that are not claimed will be brought up-to-date with vaccinations, microchipped, altered and become available for adoption.
