If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Meet Ranger: Your Future Best Friend! Ranger is a 9-month-old, 55 lb male mixed breed looking for an active home! Found as a stray chasing a deer, he neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and full of energy. Ranger is affectionate, playful, and loves cuddles after a fun day. He’s great with people and loves playing with other dogs, but due to his high prey drive, he’s not suited for a home with cats or small animals.
Ranger is potty and crate trained, knows basic commands like sit, down, place, wait, shake and loves car rides. Nail trims are easy with a little peanut butter!
Ranger is progressing with a trainer’s help on recall and working on walking without pulling. Working on new commands like gentle, out and drop it and is working on controlling his jumping excitement.
Ranger has a high prey drive, loves chasing critters and is food motivated. He’s a heavy chewer and needs indestructible toys. He’s comfortable being left alone in his kennel and loves his bedtime crate.
