This beautiful lady is Maya! She ended up at the shelter with her sister/bestie on 3/15. Their owner left both girls with a friend which was supposed to be temporary, but they never returned. The friend did say that they are both good with kids, cats, and other dogs. The volunteers describe both girls as friendly, confident, and intelligent. They know several commands including sit, down, and stay. Since they are still quite young they have a lot of energy and love to play. They'll need an active family who can keep up with them! Shepherds are a working breed so they need to be physically and mentally engaged each day.

Maya's bestie Marley/Nova has now been adopted. Maya is approximately 1 year old and weighs 51 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, has been microchipped, and tested negative for heartworms. She will be spayed upon adoption. Maya is waiting patiently in run 60; her ID # is 8755.
