My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by a community member/ on 3/6/2025.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Giorgia, a sweet, gentle soul who is looking for a loving home to call her own. Giorgia was found as a stray and, though she has some vision impairment, she doesn't let that stop her from enjoying her walks and exploring her surroundings. While she moves a bit slowly and occasionally bumps into things, she is a steady walker, eager to get outside and take in the world at her own pace. Giorgia has a calm, laid-back personality and enjoys resting in her bed, often snoozing peacefully throughout the day. She is housebroken, friendly, and easy to leash for walks.

Giorgia is incredibly affectionate-she's quick to greet people with a wagging tail and enjoys being gently carried when needed. If you're looking for a sweet, low-maintenance dog who enjoys a quiet, comfortable life, Giorgia could be the perfect fit for you. She's ready to find a family who will love and care for her, and in return, she'll offer her loyal companionship.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
