Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Gobi, the charming little seemingly Affenpinscher/Schnauffen mix (?) with a big personality and a heart full of love! At about 2 years old, this pint-sized pup is ready to take on the world—one toy chase and sunlit nap at a time.
Gobi’s personality is as vibrant as the desert he’s named after. Like the Affenpinscher breed, he’s playful, curious, and full of spunk. With his adorable monkey-like expressions and bold attitude, Gobi is sure to entertain you every day with his antics. He’s not just a cute face—he’s a little explorer who loves to be in the center of the action, making him the perfect companion for anyone seeking a dog with character and charm.
One of Gobi’s favorite things is snuggling in bed . Whether it's a cozy nap in the sun or a playful game of fetch, Gobi is happiest when he's with his humans. He thrives on attention and doesn’t want to miss out on any fun! This affectionate and loyal boy will quickly become your best friend and constant companion. He may be small in size, but Gobi’s love for his family is bigger than life.
While he can be a bit wary of strangers at first, Gobi warms up quickly once he knows he’s in good hands. His alert nature makes him an excellent little watchdog—always ready to announce any changes in his surroundings. He’s intelligent, energetic, and eager to please, making him easy to train with routine and simple repetition. Whether it’s learning new tricks or just enjoying a cuddle session, Gobi is always up for the challenge!
Fun fact: Gobi’s possible breed name comes from the German word "Affen," meaning monkey— and he certainly lives up to it! His quirky and amusing antics will keep you laughing, and his affectionate nature will make him the center of your world.
If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving dog with a big heart and a playful spirit, Gobi is the one for you. He gets along well with other pets, when properly introduced, but wants to be the alpha dog and he’s great with older kids.
Gobi may be small, but his love is limitless. Come meet him today and let him show you just how much joy a tiny dog can bring!
Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX)

Additional adoption info
Adoption application required.
Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..
If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.
Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.
We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.
We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
