My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Frankie is a four year old Akita. He is housebroken, crate trained and very well behaved and mellow at home. He can be standoffish with new people and does not like being petted by strangers. We would ideally love to find him an experienced Akita owner who understands his breed, prior dog ownership/large breed experience of some kind required. Frankie will need multiple meetings to get comfortable with his new humans before going home, free training support will be provided to the new family at no cost. Frankie needs to be in a home with no small children and no other pets.

Adoption fee $150, Frankie is neutered and current on vaccines.

Happy Trails Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit rescue based in Central Florida. Established in 2013, we have successfully placed over 200 dogs. As we continue to grow, we have opened our Community Resource Center in 2019 and provide training, education, grooming events, and a food pantry for those in need in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties. Thanks to our training scholarships, we have helped over 100 rescue dogs have continued success in their furever home.
