Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Currently in a Toronto foster home
Meet Lodi, a sweet 7-year-old Shih Tzu who has been through a lot in his life, but is ready to shower you with love and cuddles! Once a family companion, Lodi was sadly abandoned, but he’s now looking for a fresh start with a new family to call his own.
Lodi recently had a dental cleaning, and though his teeth are a bit worn from his past (he might have chewed on his cage when he was left in a small space), he still eats just fine and doesn’t let anything slow him down. He’s a happy little guy who enjoys every moment!
Lodi has a charming little quirk—his one eye is a bit more protruded than usual. The vet thinks he might not have vision in that eye, but his other eye is healthy, and he manages just fine. A few drops of artificial tears every now and then will keep his eye comfortable, and that’s about it! His health is overall great.
What truly makes Lodi special is his incredibly gentle, affectionate personality. He’s a quiet soul who rarely barks, and he absolutely loves people! He loves to be near you, soaking up all the love and attention you can give. While he might get a little nervous when you leave (poor guy is still healing from the pain of being abandoned), his sweet nature will melt your heart.
Lodi is also very social with other dogs and has no issues with aggression. He’s not the type to steal food from others—he’s happy just being around his friends. He’s a great balance of playful and independent, enjoying both social time and some peaceful moments alone.
It seems like Lodi used to live indoors with his previous family, and he’s likely used to potty pads. There might be a few little accidents as he settles into a new home, but with patience, he’ll be a pro at pottying outside in no time!
If you're looking for a gentle, loving companion who just wants to be surrounded by warmth and kindness, Lodi is your boy. He’s ready to bring endless love, joy, and cuddles into your life!

We are against the slaughter and consumption of dogs in Korea.
In Korea, there are many dogs that are kept in overcrowded cages in dog-meat facilities. They are sent to the market after being tortured to death. Although the consumption of dog meat is increasingly controversial and the vast majority of younger generations do not believe in dog meat, there are still many dogs that need to be rescued from farms and streets on which they have been abandoned/mistreated by humans.
