MEET SPURZ:

Age: 6 years (10/2/2018)
Breed: Yorkshire Terrier
Weight: 18 lbs

Spurz is a charming little Yorkie who was surrendered by his family due to circumstances related to his owner’s dementia. He was then adopted and later returned because he was too much energy for the condo lifestyle. He is eager to find the right furever home!

Spurz is a friendly and social guy who loves meeting new people. He’s good with dog-savvy children and enjoys the company of other dogs. Recently, he met a cat without any concerns, showcasing his adaptable nature.

In his previous home, Spurz was not provided with routine potty time outside, but in his foster home it only took a short time to learn the ropes. He’s currently working on crate training and has doing well although he isn't a fan of being crated.

Spurz has a history of being given table scraps, but he’s now focusing on an appropriate canine diet and healthy eating habits. He enjoys going for walks and would do best in a fenced yard where he can explore safely, he is not a good fit for a tether however. 

Spurz is looking for a loving, active forever family who will appreciate his playful spirit and ensure that he is regularly groomed. He thrives on companionship and loves being with his people, so a home that can offer him the time and attention he craves would be perfect. Don't let his age fool you, he's particularly energetic and will need a family that can keep up with him.

OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS. OUR PRIMARY ADOPTION AREA IS WITHIN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN.
