My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Porridge is an adorable 5-month old male kitten who was brought to the HSOV on February 24, 2025 along with his two handsome brothers (Grits and Oatmeal) and his cute little sister (Coco Wheats). Unfortunately the individual who entrusted them to our care did not provide any information about them or where they were found.

This little lovebug has a soft brown tabby short smooth coat, a long ringed tail, and a cute kitten face with golden eyes, a brown velvet nose, a dusting of white on his muzzle/neck, and long white whiskers. Porridge has the sweetest facial expressions.

Porridge has a playful, outgoing kitten personality.

Porridge and his brothers and currently sharing a large cat tower in the lobby of our shelter where, much to their delight, they engage in silly kitten games and then crash for group naps. We took updated ' big boy' photos of the three brothers on March 13th in their cat tower. Porridge was the sibling who chose to 'sit pretty' for most of his pictures.

Porridge gets along well with children and other cats.

Porridge was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on February 25, 2025. He weighed 4.2 lbs. that day. Porridge was given booster vaccines on March 10, 2025.

Porridge will be neutered in the near future (tentatively on March 17th) and will be ready to find a fabulous home. Naturally we'd love to see him adopted with one of his brothers since kittens do so much better in pairs. Porridge is also available for rescue.

Update: Porridge was neutered on March 17, 2025 and was also given rabies vaccine. He weighed 5.89 lbs that day.
