Meet Cecilia, a beautiful, Seal Point Siamese with stunning blue eyes and a gentle disposition. She is affectionate and very playful... and loves to be picked up or sit in your lap. She likes sleeping in bed with her foster mom.
We rescued Cecilia from a large colony in Baldwin Hills, where a family was feeding the cats, allowing them inside their home, and also had built an outside shelter for them. Other than these things, the family did nothing to stop the continual breeding and overpopulation.
We suspect this girl has had at least one litter since we took in 12 sick kittens, prior to Cecilia's rescue, and most of them were Seal or Chocolate Points. Unfortunately, we don't have much background on her. She's currently living with a foster family and they report she's VERY friendly and loving towards humans... but isn't so great around all their other cats. This could be because they're not from her family and there may be too many in the foster's home.
I realize this isn't a glowing bio on Cecilia but I feel the need to be fully transparent. My guess is she'd be fine with another cat if properly introduced.
This afternoon, Ms. Cecilia is coming to me and I will continue fostering her... I'm sure once I get a chance to spend more time with her, I'll be able to expound on her personality and facets.
You'll find her full rescue journey chronicled in Photo Album #34 on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (including video and photo updates on all our cats and kittens). I'll be creating an adoption video of her and will be uploading here, to the site.
Cecilia's adoption will include her:
* Spay surgery,
* De-worming,
* Flea and mite treatment (with NexGard Spectrum),
* FVRCP vaccinations,
* Rabies vaccination,
* Combo-test (for FIV/FeLV = negative),
* and Microchipping!
~ $150. adoption fee, adoption contract and home check apply / $250 for a pair ~
* Please only contact us if you'll be making Cecilia a permanent member of your household and will be keeping her safe indoors.
Interested in becoming a much-needed foster? Please send us a message with your best contact info, the type of home environment you can provide and, most-importantly, the City in which you live. Thanks!

Their adoption process
1.
Submit Application
Once you see a cat/kitten who's peaked your interest and/or tugged on your heart, you can send an email inquiry through the website.
2.
Interview
Once you've returned the completed application (via email), we follow up with a phone interview: at which time we set up a meet-n-greet.
3.
Home Check
If it's the right match for you, your family, and the animal, we would then conduct a home check; for any escape or safety hazards.
4.
Meet the Pet

Go meet their pets
I create fun and entertaining videos on each animals, host them on YouTube and post ads on Craigslist; under the Pets section.
It's important to educate the public on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying/neutering, fostering, and adopting. I also enjoy teaching others how to humanely trap stray and feral cats.

More about this rescue
We are a small, volunteer-based rescue located in the San Fernando Valley focusing, primarily, on cats and kittens. We rescue most of the animals through trapping in our local communities, or pulling from our City and County shelters. Our adoptable pets live with us in our home or in foster homes. Fosters are always needed. Please consider becoming one today?
You can find more photos, videos and updates on all our rescues by visiting us on Facebook at: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (which is a public page). Please feel free to browse through the many photo albums. I believe in transparency and rely on the support of volunteers, donors, and like-minded, rescuers. We also partner with other 501C3 Non profit rescues.
Additionally, we support and practice TNR (Trap, Nueter, Release) of community cats.
One person really CAN make a difference. Join us there and find out how you can help!
