Buttercup is a friendly and outgoing lady! She enjoys playing with both kids and other dogs.

Buttercup will settle and enjoy some lap time after she has some time to play and just be a silly puppy! She is being fostered in a home with a child and does very well with her as well as the other dog. She is curious about life and watches this new world in awe!

The Teddybear 'breed' is a mix of a Bichon Frise and a Shihtzu. Both breeds are loving and sweet dogs. Bichons are known for their sweet and playful personalities and Shihtzus are known for their happy disposition and companionship. Mix the two together and you have an adorable sweet and happy dog!

Buttercup will need routine grooming about every 6 weeks and brushed/combed regularly (2-3x a week). Buttercup would enjoy a playmate in her new home, so a family with children or another dog is preferred.

Buttercup's adoption is $550. She is microchipped, current on vaccines, and on monthly flea and heart worm prevention. She is not spayed as we do not spay/neuter until at least 6 months of age. A spay/neuter contract will be required and a $200 reimbursement will be paid to your vet at the time of procedure. Applications at leiashope.org.

ALL OF OUR DOGS ARE IN FOSTER HOMES AND NOT AT A CENTRAL LOCATION. AN APPROVED APPLICATION IS REQUIRED BEFORE WE DO MEET AND GREETS.

WE DO NOT SHIP OR TRANSPORT DOGS. YOU MUST COME TO THE LOCATION OF THE DOG TO MEET AND ADOPT.

Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!
