Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chewy is sponsored by Happy Trails.
Hi there! I'm Chewy.
I'm a vibrant two-year-old Cane Corso eagerly awaiting my new fur-ever home. It tugs at my heart to leave my family, but my human dad is facing a tough battle with a terminal disease, and he wants to ensure I'm in a loving, active, and engaging environment. I'm excited to share that I have a wonderful obedience foundation and can't wait to showcase my playful and goofy side! I'm looking forward to finding a home where I can be the center of attention. I thrive on being around my people, and I'm ready for plenty of mental stimulation and endless physical attention. Ideally, I envision a home where I'm the only dog. If there are little humans around, they should be 12 or older, as I'm a big lug who might accidentally bump into smaller kids. A fenced yard would be fantastic, and I hope to find a human who can spend quality time with me. I'm excited about the adventures that lie ahead!
If you are interested in meeting me, the shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday 11am-6pm. If you'd like to schedule an appointment, check out the pets' profile on our website at newberganimals.com to fill out an application and email to frontdesk@newberganimals.com.Due to COVID-19, we are currently only open by appointment. Please follow the instructions on each pet profile.

We are receiving multiple applications on every pet. If we do not call you to do an adoption, please do not consider it a rejection. We simply have a lot of applications coming in and very limited staff.
Adoption Applications do not place holds on pets, nor do we do pre-adoptions.
Rather than doing first-come-first-serve adoptions, Newberg Animal Shelter considers all applications and chooses the home that is the best fit for that particular pet. We want the adoptions to be happy and successful for the family and the pets.
Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, and at least their first set of vaccines, and microchip.
