My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Booba glows both inside and out!
This very special girl is the complete package- she is soft like velet, glows like fire, has a wonderful singing voice, and is sweet as can be. She is ready for a forever home who appreciates just how special she is.
BooBa came to Cameron Animal Rescue with a severe skin infection and missing most of her hair. After months of veterinary care and special treatment, she has fully recovered. She needs to eat a special food and take one medicine to prevent her allergies from recurring, however she loves the food and takes the pill with no stress. BooBa is approximately 12 years old, and is otherwise healthy. She has been spayed; she has had general bloodwork, which was normal; her FeLV/FIV was negative; she was fecal tested, which was negative, and was prophylactically dewormed. Her adoption also includes her full series of FVRCP (distemper) and Rabies vaccines; a microchip; Feline Bartonella testing; and more.
BooBa has a big personality, and loves to to talk- she meows hello in the morning, asks for food when she is hungry, meows her appreciation of meals, and more. She is very friendly and gentle with people, and is fine with cats and dogs as long as they are calm and generally leave her alone. She has recently discovered she can look out of the window and watch birds, and that is one of her new favorite activities. She enjoys napping, and particularly loves big, round, plush beds that she can cuddle up in.
BooBa loves human attention and company, and she will thrive in a home who has time to give her that attention and love. She will make a wonderful calm couch buddy, and a great coworker for those who work at home.

More about this rescue

Cameron Animal Hospital has been located on Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair, New Jersey, since 1936. The family-owned hospital is the first purposfully built animal hospital in the state of NJ, and provides veterinary services to cats, dogs, and other small animals, including rabbits, rats, ferrets, and more.

Cameron Animal Hospital is not a shelter, but works extensively with the rescue community in Essex County by providing veterinary care to local shelters, and finding homes to a variety of animals (cats, dogs, and small animals) who have come into our care.
