Introducing the Landforms Litter! These adorable pups were born at the shelter on 1/4/2025, to mama Madison, who is a Belgian Shepherd Malinois mix.

From the pups' collective coloring and fur, we believe the "deadbeat dad" for this crew must have some Black Labrador Retriever and/or some Black Wirehaired Pointer (or some other handsome wiry kinda genes) in the mix.

One of the best parts about adopting a pup who was born at the shelter: you know their ENTIRE HISTORY. You know they had all their age appropriate vaccines at the right times. You know they have been monitored since birth to make sure all were eating and growing appropriately. You know they have met all sorts of different humans during their time at the shelter, and have been handled and loved since birth. Yay!

These pups don't appear to have the intensity and work focus of a purebred Malinois (phew). We feel they will make excellent family pets for active families with older children! They are fairly big for their age, so we'd guess adult weights between 80 - 95 pounds, but as always with unknown mixed breeds, your puppy may vary!

The available pups, along with their 5/11 weights, are:

Volcano- all black M 49#

Tundra- black with white chest M 40#

They are both large, active pups; Tundra is a little more laid-back, but either would love to move through your life like a fuzzy, loving wrecking ball! Toddler parents be aware that your little one, who likely weighs less than these boys, will be knocked over and licked at every possible opportunity. If you have a toddler that would react to these displays of love with giggles, great! Otherwise, may we recommend one of our younger pups from the Bridgerton litter (all girls, all less exuberant than these boys).

Puppies require a lot of human interaction, and all puppies will benefit from obedience training and full immersion in their human household. These pups' ideal homes will have someone who can exercise them with a couple of energetic walks each day, plus commitment to training them how to be the best dogs they can be. They hope to have very few hours per day when they will be without the companionship of a human or other pet, and will reward their forever people with boundless love and loyalty!

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Tundra is a suggested minimum of $150 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
