Piston is a great dog. He loves to love on people of all ages and he really enjoys other dogs. His ideal home will have space for him to run or an adult who would take to parks to run. He’s very chill in the house. Fully potty trained and stays in a crate during the day. Sleeps all night long next to our bed and knows how to signal when he needs to be let out for a potty break.

Piston is a great dog. He knows how to sit, lay and give paw.

Piston's mom became ill and is no longer able to care for him.  We really want to find a home for this easy peasy pup.

Temperament: Gets along with all people and dogs. 

Training: Housetrained, crate-trained, obedience-trained

Vetting: neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative

To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.

We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $300; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.
