My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Est. DOB: 1/12/2023, currently 15 pounds, neutered, up to date on vaccines, tested heartworm positive and undergoing treatment.

Meet Finn – The Sweetest Soul Looking for a Loving Home! Finn is a 14-pound Schnauzer mix with a heart full of love and eyes that speak straight to your soul. He was found abandoned in a park alongside a female dog, left with just a bowl of water and some M&M cookies. Despite his rough start, Finn’s gentle spirit shines through. He’s a little shy at first but quickly warms up once he feels safe by your side. Currently in a foster home with seven other dogs, Finn gets along well with them, though he’d thrive best in a home with just one other dog. He’s leash-trained, kennel-trained (though it’s not his favorite), and has mastered his house training—no accidents anymore! Finn is a sweetheart who just wants to feel loved and secure. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a pure, loving heart, Finn is the one for you! Could you be his forever home?

Finnegan is heartworm positive but please don't let that rule him out for you, he is currently on the slow approach to treatment which means he takes additional medication to his heartworm prevention every six months only (this can be provided by the rescue)

Finnegan is in a foster home with other dogs that he does well with. Finn would prefer to have a canine friend if possibly in his new family. He has not met any children yet.

Please consider making this handsome boy a member of your family. As we are a foster based rescue, we do require a completed application to be submitted before we arrange a meet.  This can be found on our website at https://almosthomepetrescue.org/apply-now-1
