My story

Meet the fun and fearless CARL, a short-haired brown tabby teenager. He is the most sociable and friendly cat, with a fun and playful side. He loves swatting and jumping for cat toys with feathers or bells on the end of the stick. Sometimes he looks like he could be of an acrobatic cat group, with how much jumping, flipping, and rolling he does. He does not take any time to warm up, and doesn’t mind new people. He is a snuggler as well, and loves purring in a good lap. Carl would be a fantastic addition to a fun loving home, ready to provide endless laughs! He came to the rescue with his sister GRAHAM, and he would enjoy being adopted with her. Carl needs to be in a home with another playful young cat or kitten to buddy up with.

Carl has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. You can meet CARL at the cattery inside our partner PetSmart in South Eugene (2858 Willamette St). The $155 (280 for a pair of teenagers) adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. It is available on our website: https://catrescues.org/forms/cat-adoption-contract/ A paper copy is available at our adoption sites. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, have been de-wormed, treated with flea medication at intake, spayed or neutered, and have been microchipped and tested for felv/fiv tested.

All of our cats are located either in one of our adoption centers or a foster home. If you are in the neighborhood, you are more than welcome to drop by one of our adoption centers to view available animals. Our adoption centers are located in both Eugene PetSmart stores, Wags! Dog Emporium, and the Eugene-Springfield Cat Lounge. More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette, at Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd and the Eugene-Springfield Cat Lounge. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
