Do you ever wonder what the perfect day would look like for a four-legged furry friend? Well, let me give you a sneak peek into my ideal day!

I start my day off with a burst of energy, stretching my legs and chasing some squirrels in the yard. Then, it`s time for a refreshing roll in the grass, followed by some fetch and a nap in the warm sun.

But wait, the day is far from over! After a delicious lunch, I like to count my stuffed animal friends and play some more fetch with my favorite humans. We then embark on exciting adventures, exploring new sights and sounds at nearby parks and making new friends along the way.

As the day winds down, I always make sure to keep my humans safe from sneaky squirrels before settling in for some quality time with them. Whether we`re watching TV or jamming out to some tunes, I just love being by their side.

And the best part? All of the belly rubs and booty scratches before drifting off to sleep. So, if you`re looking for some furry companionship and want to be a part of my perfect day, come on over to ADL and let`s make some unforgettable memories together!

More about this shelter

The Animal Defense League was established in 1934 by a group of individuals, “for the prevention of cruelty to animals; to promote kind and humane treatment of animals; and to aid and assist the enforcement of laws enacted for the prevention of animal cruelty.”

In 1961, ADL moved to its present location in the easily accessible northeast part of San Antonio. Its campus encompasses more than 12 acres and includes a two-acre pet park. On the property is an Adoption Center with a small retail store, and a separate 5,000 square-foot Clinic which houses our veterinary hospital that provides onsite spay/neuter surgery, surgery for injured and ill animals, and ongoing medical care for all ADL resident animals.
