You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston. Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system. To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters. Our adoption fee varies by dog. We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only. A FTA contract is required.

Enzo was found chasing women in a bad part of town. No tags, no collar, no chip, finders posted for 2 weeks on social media, including nextdoor, Ring, and Facebook, but no owners came forward.

We agreed to take him in and help him. He got neutered, vaxxed, and sadly tested positive for heartworm disease. Enzo is available for Foster-To-Adopt only while he's in treatment. We pay for his medical needs. You provide the safe loving environment where he can heal and thrive.

Enzo get's along with other dogs, but will probably do best as an only dog.

Enzo has displayed aggression with intact male dogs. He will not go to a home where this might be an issue

You MUST register on our website and submit your application. a $20 submission fee is required. www.yorkierescuehouston.org

2.
Interview

Immediately upon receipt of your application, an auto-response email is sent. If you didn't get it, check SPAM. VET RECORDS ARE REQUIRED.

3.
Home Check

You must send VET RECORDS. Home visits are required for puppies and first time pet owners

4.
Meet the Pet

The whole family, including current pets must attend any Meet & Greet.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

All adoptions require a contract. All YRH dogs have 100% 'right of return' You must promise to never rehome the pet. They come back to US

6.
Pay Fee

Adoption fees vary by pet.

Take the Pet Home
